Top 5 Things To Include In Your Evening Self-Care Routine

It’s a particularly challenging time at the moment, and so right now it’s extra important to take a bit of time to relax and unwind from the stresses of the day. We really recommend finding things that work especially well for you personally, to help you stay calm and get a better, more peaceful night’s sleep.

So, with this in mind, we’ve decided to dedicate this week’s blog post to providing you with our top 5 favorite things to include in a relaxing self-care routine before you go to bed.

  • Yoga - this is surely one of the world’s favorite ways to unwind. Did you know that there are literally millions of yoga tutorials on YouTube? Incorporating regular yoga practice into your evening routine is a fantastic way to take a pause, connect with your mind and quell any anxious thoughts or stressful feelings that you may be experiencing so that you can ensure that you keep your evening full of calm and happy thoughts.

  • Skincare - taking care of your skin is a great way to easily bring more self-care into your evening routine. This could involve anything from the usual daily toner, cleanser and moisturiser process, to an extra special at-home pamper session for your skin, like a special face mask or even a special serum or cream that really suits your skin type. It will leave you feeling so much more refreshed and level headed.

  • Bubble bath - if you’ve had a stressful day, or you’re just feeling in the mood to take some time for a bit of self-care, a bubble bath is the ultimate luxurious treat. Buy yourself a good stock of quality bath bombs, to keep ready for these moments.

  • A book - even if it’s just 10 minutes before you go to sleep, having a read of a good book before bed is a fantastic way to help your mind unwind and switch off after a busy day. Make sure you have a rule of no phone just before bed, as this is a really bad distraction that can often cause you to have a disturbed night’s sleep.

  • Lavender spray - use a calming scent like lavender in the form of a reed diffuser or bottled pillow splay, to infuse your room with a delightful, subtle scent, guaranteeing you a good night’s sleep.
