PDO Thread Lift

509760.jpg

Thread lifts are a minimally invasive alternative to the facelift for patients who are not ready to undergo more aggressive treatment options. Although the effects from a thread lift will be temporary and not as dramatic as a facelift, improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be seen gradually as the procedure stimulates natural collagen production. The results should last well over a year. PDO sutures are a type of material used for thread lifts. PDO, which stands for polydioxanone, is an absorbable polymer that is flexible and durable for minimally invasive thread lifts.

This is a fairly quick procedure with little to no downtime. A local anesthetic is used to numb the area prior to the treatment.

Botulinum Toxins

01/

Botox

Botox is FDA approved for prevention and elimination of frown lines specific to the area between the eyebrows (glabella). Since its approval in 2002, however, Botox has also been used to treat other wrinkles elsewhere (eg, crow's feet, forehead, around the mouth). Those who produce excess underarm sweat or have sweaty palms and have failed to respond to the primary medical treatments for excess sweating have also been treated with Botox, which requires much larger doses than those used to prevent and eliminate wrinkles.

02/

Dysport

Also FDA approved, Dysport uses the same toxin as Botox (Botulinum Type A). However, this is further diluted making the product spread better across larger areas. Dysport is used in a 3/1 ratio and charged as the equivalence of Botox.

Jeuveau

The newest in Botulinum toxins, also referred to as "Newtox", was given FDA approval in 2019 and is a further purified version of this toxin. This is a great option for those who have become resistant to standard

Kybella

Kybella is a nonsurgical injectable technique used to reduce fat pockets. The process uses a series of deoxycholic acid injections to target the fat cells in the area. No incisions are required, and the downtime is minimal in most cases. The most common treatment area is under the chin, but this can be done in other areas. Coolsculpting is typically a better alternative for larger areas of concern.
