Our 5 Favorite Ways To De-Stress During The Evening

There’s no doubt about it, this is a super challenging time for all of us, so it’s more important than ever to make sure that we’re taking care of ourselves. Especially when it comes to the evening - if you’ve had a really stressful day at work or the kids have been a nightmare - you want to make sure that you take all the time that you need to unwind from the day’s stresses.

With this in mind, we wanted to dedicate this week’s blog post to sharing with you our 5 absolute favorite ways to unwind, relax our mind and make sure that the day ends in a calm, positive way.

  • Herbal tea - this is a fantastic way to soothe both your mind and body alike. You could even brew your own herbal tea using ingredients like fresh ginger, cardamom or mint, so that it’s full of lots of great nutrients. There’s something so therapeutic about carefully brewing your own yummy tea, too.

  • Yoga - even if it’s just taking an extra 10 minutes to meditate and stretch, yoga is a fantastic way to make sure you leave the bad parts of the day behind you. Find your own routine that suits your ability and makes you feel happy.

  • Pick up a good book - endlessly scrolling through phones can actually just make us feel even more on edge. Choose a book that you can really get engrossed in, and really let yourself get absorbed in the story before you go to bed.

  • Treat yourself to some gorgeous skin care - invest in a quality toner, moisturizer, face wash and some face masks so that you have a great go-to way to pamper yourself at the end of a difficult day.

  • Have a chat or keep a journal - if you’re still feeling like you can’t quite let go of something that’s stressed you out or a general feeling of negativity before bed, have a chat with a loved one over the phone, or get it all of your chest by writing it down in a journal. Then you’ll be ready to move on from it, ready to start the next day in a positive frame of mind.
